Barcelona to Defend IHF Club World Title in Egypt in 2026

FC Barcelona will return to the IHF Men's Club World Championship as reigning champions when the tournament takes place in Egypt's New Administrative Capital from September 24 to October 1, 2026.

The competition will feature ten clubs representing all six continents, highlighting the global reach of the sport.

Europe's contingent looks particularly strong, with EHF Champions League finalists Füchse Berlin joining the field alongside Veszprém HC, who qualified through a wildcard spot. Both sides will aim to challenge Barcelona's dominance and claim the world title for themselves.
