New Zealand is preparing to host the first-ever women's IHF Nations Trophy, set to take place in Wellington from September 10 to 14. The event marks a historic moment for handball development in Oceania, bringing together seven national teams: Australia, Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, New Caledonia, New Zealand and Tahiti.
Beyond its status as a new IHF competition, the tournament will also double as the Oceania Continental Championship, giving it added significance for the region's handball landscape. The event represents a major step in growing the sport's presence across the Pacific.
